Cook’s Valley Road to close Wednesday; Harbor Chapel to reopen one day only
KINGSPORT – Weather permitting, Cooks Valley Road will be closed from the intersection with Harbor
Chapel Road to the intersection with Harbor Springs Road on Wednesday,
May 26, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to permit installation of large storm drain and head wall as part of the continuing Harbor Chapel improvement project.
Traffic moving towards the Harbor Chapel area on Cooks Valley Road will detour to Merrywood Avenue, then left on Harbor Drive, right on Cedarwood Drive and finally left onto Rustic Way which leads back to Harbor Chapel Road.
As always, motorists are asked to use extreme caution in the work zone and on neighborhood streets.
