Waterline replacement project to require limited service outages in vicinity of Lamberth and Canon streets

KINGSPORT – A major water line improvement project that will replace nearly 3,200 feet of galvanized 6 inch and 2 inch waterlines will require limited service interruptions to customers on Lamberth Street, Sierra Drive, Timrick Street and Canon Street over the next six to eight weeks beginning Tuesday July 16, 2013.  The work is being conducted by City water distribution crews and does take place in rocky terrain. Once completed, the project should resolve several existing water line issues in the area. Motorists should be aware of the ongoing work and use extra caution in the work zone.
