Kingsport Aquatic Center hires TV Anchor/Reporter as Public Relations Specialist

KINGSPORT – The Kingsport Aquatic Center is pleased to announce the newest member of its team, Angela Yingling. Angela joins the City of Kingsport after spending six years at WCYB-TV.

Angela brings with her a tremendous amount of experience having worked in news in the Tri-Cities, Bluefield, WV and Cleveland, OH. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, but has been enjoying Tennessee winters since 2008.

In her new role as Public Relations Specialist Angela will work to raise awareness of not only the recreational amenities but also the multiple health and wellness benefits the facility provides. Additionally, Angela will work closely with the regions media outlets to market the new, state-of-the-art Aquatic Center. This job is a great fit for me because I used to be a lifeguard, competitive swimmer and swim lesson instructor, so add in my TV experience and I feel like this job is the perfect combination of both swimming and PR, adds Yingling.

The Executive Director of the Kingsport Aquatic Center, Kari Matheny adds, We are so excited to have Angela on board. This facility has so much to offer the citizens of our region so having someone in house with Angelas experience to help promote and educate the multiple benefits the facility offers is simply wonderful. Im so excited for this opportunity, adds Yingling, I think the Aquatic Center is a great addition to the region.
