K.P.D.’s Newest Officer Excels at Police Academy
KINGSPORT – The Kingsport Police Departments newest officer recently brought back top honors from the Police Academy.‚ Officer Brandon Qualls was sworn in at K.P.D. on December 29, 2014 and has spent the last eight weeks receiving his basic training as part of the ninety-fifth class of the Walters State Regional Law Enforcement Academy in Greeneville, TN.‚ He graduated on Friday, March 20, 2015 at a ceremony held at the WSCC Main Campus in Morristown.
During the ceremony, Officer Qualls was presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award recognizing his performance as the most outstanding officer in the class.‚ This top honor is a cumulative award based upon combined scores in academics, defensive tactics, athletics, firearms, and driving.‚ The Kingsport Police Department would like to congratulate Officer Qualls for his outstanding performance at the academy and wish him the best of luck in his future law enforcement career.
