City of Kingsport to host Ribbon Cutting and Dedication of New Fire Training Facility
KINGSPORT – The Kingsport Fire Department will be hosting a dedication and ribbon cutting for the new Fire Training Facility on Monday December 14th, at 10am.
The new facility is located on Horse Creek Lane, off South Wilcox Drive, adjacent to the Eastman Fire Training Ground.
The new KFD Fire Training Facility will give the Fire Dpartment opportunities to do individual and crew skills in a controlled and more realistic environment. There are capabilities for ladder, rope, hose, forcible entry,‚ and search and rescue along with the ability to train with live fire.
This facility will also be utilized for the Northeast Tennessee Regional Fire Training Association Recruit School, to train firefighters from cities and companies throughout Northeast Tennessee.
Kingsport Mayor John Clark remarked, The Board of Mayor and Aldermen remain committed to supporting the mission of the Kingsport Fire Department to protect the citizens, visitors, and businesses of our City.‚ This facility allows firefighters to hone their skills to protect lives in Kingsport and beyond.

Bristol Fire Department
Greeneville Fire Department
Newport Fire Department
Morristown Fire Department
Tennessee Eastman Fire Department
Jonesborough Fire Department
Jefferson City Fire Department
Other volunteer fire departments in Northeast Tennessee.
