KINGSPORT – The Kingsport Office of Cultural Arts is pleased to present Photography of Jeffrey Stoner at the Kingsport City Hall Gallery, 225 West Center Street.‚ The public is invited Monday through Friday 8 am to 5pm.‚ There is no charge to enter the exhibition. Spring is in the air!‚ Photographs of Jeffrey Stoner will be on display through the end of April 2015 and feature scenes of Northeast Tennessees beautiful springtime.
Stoner only recently moved to Kingsport having spent most of his career in Pennsylvania in the Healthcare Industry.‚ Stoner recalls, I received my first camera when I was ten years old and began a lifetime of making images. ‚ My desire is to capture not only what I am seeing but also what I am feeling began when I looked up into an ice covered tree.
Stoner is an avid outdoorsman and hiker who travels extensively throughout the Southeast. Many of his photographs capture the secrets of the trail, whether the goats of Roan Mountain, age and grace of Angel Oak or bear at Cades Cove. Stoner always transports the viewer beyond the canvas and gives them an experience beyond visual recording.

Stoner will be a featured speaker at ETSUs Alliance for Continued Learning in Johnson City on April 14.‚ He will present images taken throughout Northeast Tennessee.‚ Stoners Sentinels of the Allee was juried into the Art League of Hilton Head’s 2015 Biennale, a National Juried Exhibition, being held at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina in Hilton Head, SC.
