City announces schedule changes for Fourth of July holiday weekend

KINGSPORT – Kingsport City Hall and most City offices will be closed on Friday July 3rd in observance of Independence Day.

  • There will be no changes in Garbage, Trash or Recycling service.‚  All crews will‚ run their regular routes during the week of June 28th.
  • The Demolition Landfill will be open on Friday, July 3 but closed on Saturday, July 4th.
  • Parks and Recreation Buildings will be closed Friday and Saturday (July 3 & 4), general parks will be open and the Splash Pad will be in operation from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Bays Mountain Park ‚¬ Friday and Saturday (July 3 & 4) no schedule change to park hours or programs – park hours 8:30 am-8:00 pm.
  • Kingsport Senior Center/Renaissance Center ‚¬ closed Friday and Saturday July 3rd and 4th
  • Kingsport Public Library ‚¬ Will close on Thursday, July 2nd at 5:30pm and will remain closed Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th. The library will reopen Monday, July 6th under normal operating hours.
  • Kingsport Aquatic Center will be open on July 4th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Kingsport Farmers Market will be open on Saturday July 4th.
  • Kingsport Area Transit Service will be closed on Friday July 3rd
