S.H.O.U.T.!® Youth Leadership taking applications for two summer sessions
KINGSPORT – The Kingsport Chamber of Commerce announced today its youth leadership program – S.H.O.U.T.!® (Students Helping Others Understand Tomorrow) – is accepting applications for its two summer classes.
Two different classes are offered. The first class will be Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 13 and the second class will be Monday, July 21 through Friday, July 25. Students will meet from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day with graduation at 7 p.m. on the final day.
Each day will consist of developing leadership skills and community awareness through interactive programs, speakers and other activities while having fun and making new friends.
The deadline to submit an application for either class is Friday, March 7.

Kingsport Leadership Programs oversee three leadership programs of the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce.
The mission of S.H.O.U.T.!® (Students Helping Others Understand Tomorrow) is to develop, in an interactive environment, the leadership skills and community awareness of selected high school sophomores and juniors.
The other two include the senior leadership program, ENCORE (Enrich and Nurture your Community, Offer your Resources and Experience) and the adult leadership program, Leadership Kingsport.
The mission of ENCORE is to inform participants about the community and the opportunities for volunteer service. ENCORE is sponsored by HealthSouth Kingsport.
The mission of Leadership Kingsport is to develop leaders who give life to community dreams.
