Riverwalk Park parking lot to be closed beginning Monday

The Riverwalk Park parking lot – located on Industry Drive – will be closed to the public beginning Monday (March 31).

The closure will be until further notice and is being done in connection to site work and construction taking place within Riverwalk Park.

The Blue Cross Foundation awarded a $7.8 million grant to the City of the Kingsport last year for the redevelopment of Riverwalk Park. Amenities being added to the 8.8 acre park during the course of the project include an inclusive play area, community pavilions, sports courts, a splash pad, fitness area, restrooms and recreational access to the Holston River.
