NEWS RELEASE
SUBJECT: Two Sought in Theft of Money from Lost Wallet
DATE: May 3, 2016
CASE #: 16-006932
GENERAL NARRATIVE
On April 3, 2016 at approximately 9:30 PM, a man briefly pulled his vehicle into the parking lot of the Sunoco, located at 4001 Memorial Boulevard, so that he could check the connection of a trailer he was towing. Unbeknownst to him at the time, when he stepped out of his vehicle, his wallet fell out of his pants pocket.

A few minutes after he drove away, a white female noticed and picked up the lost wallet. Rather than turn it in immediately, she got into a car with a white male for several minutes. She then went inside the store and turned the wallet over to the clerk; however, when she finally did, $300 in cash had been stolen from the wallet.

The male and female suspects were captured on surveillance video during their visit to the store, and photos taken from that footage have been included in this release. A clip of the actual video footage has been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the link below:
