SUBJECT: Kingsport Police Searching for Suspect Wanted by U.S. Secret Service

The Kingsport Police Department and the United States Secret Service are currently searching for Tyler Shane Monroe. Mr. Monroe is currently wanted by the U.S. Secret Service for Conspiracy to Counterfeit United States Currency. He was indicted in January 2014 as part of a joint investigation conducted by K.P.D. and the U.S. Secret Service. The investigation was launched by K.P.D. in December 2012 but was ultimately turned over to the U.S. Secret Service. At least eight other co-conspirators in this case have already been located and are presently awaiting sentencing.

Mr. Monroe is very much aware of this outstanding warrant for his arrest and is actively avoiding process. He is a 19 year old black male with brown eyes and brown hair. He is 6 feet, 1 inch in height and weighs approximately 270 pounds. He was last known to reside on Sewanee Street in Kingsport.
