NEWS RELEASE
SUBJECT: Kingsport Police Searching for Suspect in Theft of Cash Accidentally Dropped in Parking Lot
DATE: December 4, 2015
CASE #: 15-026320
GENERAL NARRATIVE
On December 4, 2015, at approximately 12:45 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers were summoned to the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market, located at 750 Lynn Garden Drive in Kingsport to investigate a theft. Responding officers spoke with an individual who had accidentally dropped an envelope in the parking lot. The envelope reportedly contained over $1,100 in cash.

A review of surveillance video confirmed the incident and also helped develop a suspect in the theft. On the video footage, a white female with blonde hair can be seen reaching down and picking up the envelope and driving away in a blue Ford Escape compact sport utility vehicle. She was wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt. She was last seen driving northbound on Lynn Garden Drive toward Virginia.

Photos taken from surveillance footage of the suspect and her vehicle have been included in this release. Anyone who recognizes her is asked to contact the Kingsport Police Department by calling Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
