NEWS RELEASE
SUBJECT: K.P.D. Searching for Burglar Who Rammed his Vehicle into Recycling Business
DATE: December 10, 2015
CASE #: 15-026650
GENERAL NARRATIVE
On December 8, 2015 at approximately 8:45 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers were called to Wise Recycling, located at 3232 East Stone Drive in Kingsport, to investigate a burglary. The resultant investigation revealed the following:

At an unknown time, an unidentified individual gained entry to the property by ramming a vehicle through the gate. The suspect then proceeded to ram the same vehicle into an exterior garage door of the business, knocking it off its rollers, to allow access to the interior.

Once inside, the suspect started a forklift and used it to knock a hole in the office wall. The suspect appears to be a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt and gloves, with his face covered with a scarf. His vehicle appears to have been a silver or gray minivan. The van would have almost certainly sustained visible damage during the incident.

Significant damage was done to the business; however, nothing was found to have been stolen. While of extremely poor clarity, several photos of the suspect and his vehicle, taken from surveillance video footage, have been included in this release.

Anyone who may know his identity or who may have any information which may help Detectives solves this case is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division by calling 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
