NEWS RELEASE
SUBJECT: K.P.D. Investigating Second Threatening Note Found at Same Middle School
DATE: November 13, 2015
CASE #: 15-024681
GENERAL NARRATIVE
On the morning of November 13, 2015, a second non-specific threatening note was found in the same restroom at Ross N. Robinson Middle School, located at 1517 Jessee Street in Kingsport. The note was conspicuously similar to the note found two days prior. It was promptly turned over to the School Resource Officer for investigation.

Additional Kingsport City Schools and Kingsport Police Department personnel responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. Just as in Wednesday’s incident, over the course of today’s investigation no information surfaced to give the threat any credibility whatsoever, and no evidence was found to substantiate the threat.

While both of these threats appear to have been unsubstantial, the Kingsport Police Department and the Kingsport City Schools take any and all threats very seriously. K.P.D. is continuing to work closely with school officials, with both threats remaining under investigation in the hopes of holding whomever is responsible fully accountable for their disruptive and criminal behavior.

Anyone who may have any additional information which may assist with this investigation is asked to contact the Kingsport Police Department at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link:
