SUBJECT: Detectives Request Assistance in Identifying Suspect Who Snatched Cash from Register

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On July 31, 2016 at approximately 4:30 PM, a white male suspect reached across the counter and snatched a handful of cash from the register while the clerk was conducting a transaction at Dollar General, located at 1197 North Eastman Road in Kingsport.

The entire incident was captured on surveillance video, with a photo of the thief being included in this release. Three clips of the actual video footage have been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the links below:
