SUBJECT: Detectives Attempting to Identify Two Persons of Interest in Motor Vehicle Theft Investigation

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On January 1, 2015 at approximately 12:30 AM a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen from behind a residence located at 1202 Konnarock Road in Kingsport. At the time it was stolen, the keys had been left in the ignition.

The vehicle was later recovered on January 19, 2015 outside the city limits of Kingsport by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office. When it was recovered, several items were found in the vehicle that were apparently abandoned there by the suspect(s). These items including assorted articles of men’s clothing, car stereo equipment, and drug paraphernalia.

Kingsport Police Detectives are investigating this incident and have narrowed their search to two persons of interest. Photos of these two individuals captured by local surveillance cameras are included in this release. A clip of the video footage has been made available for viewing on the K.P.D.
