General Narrative

A suspect is being sought by the Kingsport Police Department for the theft of a cellular telephone.

On September 5, 2013 at approximately 5:00 pm, an individual placed her iPhone 4s on the counter of a restaurant in Downtown Kingsport. She forgot about laying the phone down and walked away. A moment later, another customer picked up the phone and left the restaurant.

The suspect in the theft is a white male with a slim build. He has a goatee and long dark hair worn in a ponytail. He was last seen driving out of the parking lot in a Chevrolet or GMC faded red full-size pickup (with camper top) or Sport Utility Vehicle.

Photos of the suspect and the vehicle are included in this release.
