KPD e-Press Release: Police Solicit Public's Assistance in Solving Malicious Vandalism to D.B.H.S. Soccer Complex
General Narrative |
The Kingsport Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in solving a recent malicious vandalism to the Dobyns Bennett High School Soccer Complex.
Sometime during the weekend of Friday, November 22 through Sunday, November 24, 2013, the Dobyns Bennett High School Soccer Complex at Indian Highland Park, located at 1814 East Center Street, was vandalized. The vandals tore down and destroyed numerous windscreens and signs and attempted to break into the soccer field house. The windscreens and signs had a value of approximately $1,800. The door on the field house received an additional $200 in damage during the attempted burglary. The D.B. Soccer Boosters had recently invested a considerable amount of time and money to improve this complex, making it all the more unfortunate that this crime occurred. The windscreens had been custom made and were imprinted with “Tribe Soccer” and the signs highlighted the soccer team’s previous winning seasons. Anyone who has any information that may help detectives develop a suspect in this case is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. For additional information, please contact: P.I.O. Thomas M. Patton K.P.D.
