K.P.D. Vice Detectives arrested a female suspect for multiple felony drug offenses after conducting a traffic stop on her vehicle in the Lynn Garden area.
On October 15, 2013 at approximately 12:50 AM, Kingsport Police Vice Detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Lynn Avenue at the intersection of Tip Top Avenue in Kingsport. The driver was identified as Bianca Rodriguez. Based on the subsequent investigation, Detectives summoned K.P.D. K-9 Handler Billy Boyd and his partner, K-9 Macho, to the scene. Macho alerted on the vehicle for the presence of narcotics. As a result of this K-9 alert, Detectives conducted a search of the vehicle. This search netted three rocks of Crack Cocaine on the driver’s side floorboard, and a yellow pill identified as Valium in the driver’s seat. Ms. Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Kingsport City Jail. Once there, a more thorough search revealed an additional rock of Crack Cocaine concealed on her person. Her criminal charges include: 1) Possession of Over ½ Gram of Crack Cocaine for Resale 2) Simple Possession of a Schedule IV Drug (Valium) 3) Introduction of Narcotics into a Penal Facility For additional information, please contact: P.I.O.
