Kingsport Police Detectives are requesting assistance from the public in identifying a suspect in the use of a counterfeit debit card.
On August 30, 2013 at approximately 9:30 PM an individual made a purchase at Wal-Mart, located at 2500 West Stone Drive in Kingsport. The suspect paid for his purchase utilizing a counterfeit debit card. A photo of the suspect captured from surveillance footage is included in this release. He appears to be a heavy-set black male. He does not appear to be very tall, but it is possible that the picture could be misleading. Anyone who can assist detectives with identifying and/or locating this suspect is asked to contact the K.P.D.
