| The Kingsport Police Department cautions area residents to expect traffic congestion on Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Downtown Kingsport due to a Diabetes Walk event.
The event is the ADA (American Diabetes Association) Step Out 3 Mile Walk to Stop Diabetes. The walk begins at 4:00 PM. A map of the route is included in this release. The following streets/areas in Downtown Kingsport will be effected: 1) Farmer’s Market Area 2) West Center Street 3) Clinchfield Street 4) Main Street 5) Broad Street 6) Church Circle Area 7) West Sullivan Street 8) Shelby Street 9) West New Street 10) Clay Street 11) Press Street Individuals who do not intend to participate in this event should consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
