General Narrative

The Kingsport Police Department is asking citizens for help in identifying a suspect using a stolen debit card.

On August 30, 2013, an individual accidentally left her debit card behind after using it to pay for gas at the Roadrunner Market, located at 120 West Stone Drive in Kingsport.

Shortly after realizing it was missing, she was notified by her financial institution that the card was being used by someone who was apparently on a shopping spree in the area. In a brief period of time, the card was used to make purchases at Walgreens, Rack Room Shoes, T.J. Maxx, B&B Package Store, Dollar Tree, and Food City.

Photos of the suspect, where he was captured on surveillance video at one of the stores, are included in this release. He appears to be a white male, possibly in his 20s, with a slim build and dark hair.

K.P.D. Detectives are asking for anyone who may recognize this individual to contact them in the Criminal Investigation Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
