| GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
| Two male juvenile suspects, a nine year old and an eleven year old, have been arrested and charged with Filing a False Report by Making a Bomb Threat, a Class C Felony, in connection with the Friday morning bomb threat at Andrew Jackson Elementary School.
The Kingsport Police Department and the Kingsport City School System take this criminal activity very seriously and wish to stress that this behavior will not be tolerated and those responsible are being held accountable. As previously released: On April 24, 2015, shortly after 9:00 AM, The Kingsport Police Department was notified of a bomb threat at Andrew Jackson Elementary School, located at 600 Jackson Street in Kingsport. All students, faculty, and staff have been temporarily evacuated while K.P.D. clears the school. This threat comes in the wake of three other bomb threats at John Sevier Middle School over the past two days. Felony arrests have been made in all of those instances. The Kingsport Police Department and the Kingsport City School System take this criminal activity very seriously and wish to stress that this behavior will not be tolerated and those responsible are being held accountable. |
