SUBJECT: | Search for Missing Elderly Kingsport Man Continues
DATE: | September 25, 2015
CASE #: | 15-020330 | ||
GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
The Kingsport Police Department is continuing to search for Eugene Marshall, an elderly Kingsport man with Alzheimer’s Disease. K.P.D. wishes to stress that this is still very much an open, active investigation. At no point has the search for Mr. Marshall been suspended since his disappearance. All law enforcement agencies across the United States have been alerted of his status as a missing/endangered person.
A full-scale, organized, search was conducted on September 23, 2015 to no avail. Numerous public safety organization and dozens of community volunteers assisted in searching the area surrounding several confirmed and unconfirmed sightings of Mr. Marshall since his disappearance. He could be anywhere in the Kingsport area; however, he could just as easily have hitched a ride out of town and be in another jurisdiction altogether. Citizen tips have poured in since his disappearance. Detectives with the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division are continuing to investigate his whereabouts and follow up on all tips and leads. K.P.D. Patrol Officers are on constant lookout for him as well. Area residents are encouraged to continue to be on the lookout for Mr. Marshall and reporting any sightings or critical information to K.P.D. immediately. Anyone who spots him is asked to maintain visual contact with him until police arrival. Citizens are also asked to check any barns, utility sheds, abandoned buildings, fields, or wooded areas on their property for Mr. Marshall. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a tan button-up shirt, and white athletic shoes. He often dresses in layers, so it is possible that he might be wearing a blue button-up shirt also. He is an 80 year old white male, 5 feet, 10 inches in height, and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has gray hair and hazel eyes and wears glasses. Several photographs and videos of Mr. Marshall have been included in this release. Tips and information can be submitted by contacting the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or by calling Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link: http://police.KingsportTN.gov/Citizen_Feedback As previously released: The Kingsport Police Department is continuing to investigate the disappearance of an elderly Kingsport man with Alzheimer’s Disease.
