KPD e-News Release: Kingsport Police Request Citizen Assistance in Identifying Burglary Suspects
GENERAL NARRATIVE |
On December 2, 2014, just before midnight, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to an alarm at G2K Games, located at 2637 East Stone Drive in Kingsport. Upon their arrival, officers found the front door glass had been shattered. A glass display cabinet inside the store was also shattered.
The store manager arrived and determined that the only items that had been stolen were six empty Xbox 360 game cases, as the games themselves had been stored in a more secure location. The manager estimated the damage to the glass door and the glass display cabinet to be approximately $1,000. Upon checking surveillance video from area businesses, two suspects, believed to be white males, were seen walking toward and then later running from the store at the time of the alarm. Surveillance video also captured footage of what is believed to be their vehicle, which appears to be a silver 2-door Honda Accord with a sunroof. Photos of the suspects and their vehicle taken from the surveillance video footage have been included in this release. Clips from the actual footage have been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the links below: Anyone who recognizes either of these individuals or their vehicle is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link: |
