As previously released:
The Kingsport Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in locating a missing/endangered elderly man. Eugene Marshall was reported missing to K.P.D. by family members on September 17, 2015. Mr. Marshall has Alzheimer’s Disease/dementia and often forgets where he lives. He apparently walked away from his residence on Brookwood Circle in Kingsport on September 17th at approximately 10:30 AM.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a tan button-up shirt, and white athletic shoes. He often dresses in layers, so it is possible that he might be wearing a blue button-up shirt also. He is an 80 year old white male, 5 feet, 10 inches in height, and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has gray hair and hazel eyes and wears glasses. He answers to “Gene” or “Papaw.” A photograph of Mr. Marshall has been included in this release.
He is most likely on foot, somewhere in the vicinity of the East Stone Drive/North Eastman Road area. He is believed to have been spotted at McDonald’s on East Stone Drive, Waffle House on East Stone Drive, K-Mart, and East Stone Commons Shopping Complex.
Anyone who sees Mr. Marshall or may be able to assist the Kingsport Police Department in locating him is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
