GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
Kingsport Police are still searching for William Daniel Sams in connection to a robbery on May 3, 2015 of CVS Pharmacy, located at 128 West Stone Drive in Kingsport. Christopher J. Fox and Stephen Alan Wright have already been arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery in that incident.
K.P.D. Detectives have now named Sams’ girlfriend, Karen Senna Clark, as an additional suspect in this ongoing investigation. On May 9, 2015, Ms. Clark stole a 1992 Buick Skylark from Collins Auto Sales, located at 952 Lynn Garden Drive in Kingsport, after feigning a test drive. Detectives have determined that Ms. Clark stole this vehicle for the express purpose of helping Mr. Sams continue to elude capture by law enforcement authorities. Detectives are obtaining warrants charging Ms. Clark with: 1) Accessory After the Fact to Aggravated Robbery 2) Motor Vehicle Theft (over $1,000) 3) Theft of Vehicle Parts/Accessories 4) Driving on a Suspended License Photos of Mr. Sams and Ms. Clark and a stock photo of the stolen vehicle have been included in this release. Kingsport Police Detectives have obtained warrants charging William Daniel Sams and Stephen Alan Wright with Aggravated Robbery. Christopher J. Fox has already been arrested for Aggravated Robbery in this incident. During the investigation, Detectives determined that immediately following the robbery, Mr. Fox entered the back seat of a vehicle and fled the scene. The getaway vehicle was also occupied by Mr. Sams and Mr. Wright. Further inquiry has confirmed that all three individuals were involved in the robbery. Mr. Sams and Mr. Wright are still at large. Detectives developed Christopher J. Fox as a suspect in the Sunday afternoon robbery of CVS Pharmacy. On May 4, 2015 at approximately 4:00 PM, Mr. Fox was arrested at his residence for Aggravated Robbery and transported to the Kingsport City Jail. He currently remains incarcerated awaiting arraignment. Some of the stolen property has been recovered. This incident remains under investigation. As previously released: On May 3, 2015 at approximately 3:25 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers and Detectives responded to an armed robbery of CVS Pharmacy, located at 128 West Stone Drive in Kingsport. During the subsequent investigation they learned that an unknown white male suspect had entered the store and approached the pharmacy counter. He presented a note which claimed that he was armed and demanded specific prescription medication. The pharmacy personnel complied with the suspect’s demands, and he fled the scene with an undisclosed type and quantity of prescription medication. Photographs of the suspect captured on surveillance video are included in this release. Anyone who recognizes him, or who may have any additional information which may help solve this case, is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D.
