Garbage and trash collections to continue through weekend
KINGSPORT Garbage and trash collection has resumed on a delayed basis, after temporarily being suspended to allow additional support for snow clearing operations. As a result, routes normally collected on Wednesday are being collected today, February 27th, with Thursday routes being collected Saturday and Friday routes being collected on Sunday. Next week, if customers have more garbage than can fit in the provided container, please bag the trash and place it a couple feet away from the container on the regular garbage collection day next week. Additional crews will be picking up the surplus next week. Only bagged trash will be collected outside of the provided container.
