The Kingsport Public Library is excited to announce the return of the Friday Lunchtime Live concerts to the downtown area. Due to the relocation of the library to the Fort Henry Mall, the Lunchtime Live concerts will be held at the Kingsport Farmers Market (308 Clinchfield Street) this year. Now in its fifth year, the concerts will run from June 6 to July 18, starting at noon on each of those days. The concerts are free and open to the public. Simply bring a chair or blanket and enjoy lunch while listening to local musicians. A food truck will also be on site during the concerts. The concerts series is sponsored by Friends of the Kingsport Public Library.
This year’s lineup: June 6 Ron Short & the Possum Playboys, June 13 Kingsport Community Band, June 27 Moira Murphy, July 11 Zach McNabb, July 18 ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band. For more information visit www.kingsportlibrary.org or call the library at 423-224-2539.
About Kingsport Public Library, The Kingsport Public Library, founded in 1921 as the Kingsport Book Club, has been a part of the City of Kingsport since 1929. In 1961, the library moved to its current Broad Street location. Today it serves the residents of Kingsport by providing access to a variety of materials and services to support their informational, educational, and recreational needs.
