The intention of the quiet hike is to allow participants to have a heightened awareness of the beauty of Bays Mountain. Combining mindfulness and nature are both science based practices that improve mental health and help reduce stress. Participants will be encouraged to be aware of the sights, sounds, and smells as we hike on a designated path. We will focus on appreciating the beautiful things that capture our undivided attention. Combining the benefits of hiking, the Japanese practice of Forest bathing, and mindfulness, this hike will aim to create a peaceful adventure through our natural space. We will conclude with a restorative sharing circle at the old amphitheater space.
Capacity: 15 people
Cost: $8
This program is provided by the Bays Mountain Park Association. All proceeds benefit the Bays Mountain Park Association.
