Bobby Horton is widely recognized as one of the country’s leading authorities of music from The Civil War period!
A Civil War Evening:
Songs and Stories from the Civil War Era with Bobby Horton!
This year’s show welcomes performer Bobby Horton! Horton is a gifted entertainer from Birmingham, Alabama and his knowledge of songs and tunes during the Civil War will keep the audience spellbound for the entire show.
Bobby’s performance will include historical comments and civil war songs sung by both the Confederates and Union troops. Bobby Horton will be dressed in a civil war era attire and will be playing multiple Civil War period instruments.
* Horton has produced and performed in 19 PBS films by Ken Burns including: “The Civil War” and “Baseball.”* He has also produced and performed in 23 films for The National Park Service.* A multi instrumentalist, his work has been acclaimed by Historical organizations and publications throughout America.

$10 Tickets are available at the Fun Fest Store until July 8th at 12 noon. On July 8th, remaining tickets will be available beginning at 5:30pm at the ticket booth at the Renaissance Center until they are sold out or when the show starts at 7 pm.
“A Civil War Evening” is cosponsored by the Tri-Cities Civil War Round Table & Kingsport Cultural Arts.
