Dunbar Street to be closed this week for water line installation

KINGSPORT Dunbar Street will be closed from Douglass Street to Carver Street beginning Tuesday, November 11, 2014 through Friday to permit installation of a new water line. While many City projects will see a roadway reopened on a temporary basis outside of work hours, the nature of the boring equipment will require a complete road closure throughout the project. Work will be underway on site between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day, with Dunbar completely closed between 317 and 327 Dunbar. Residents will be required to enter from either end of the closure for the duration of the project.‚  Please take every possible precaution when driving near the work zone.
