The Kingsport Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization is charged by federal requirements to develop a long range transportation plan (LRTP) with at least a 20-year horizon of both long-range and short-range strategies that lead to the development of an integrated multimodal transportation system in the Kingsport Urbanized Area. Throughout the 2035 LRTP, data and analysis are presented illustrating consideration of and compliance with these requirements. This notice begins a 30-day public review period which is open until May 7, 2012. The public is invited to review and comment on the draft LRTP.
