Kingsport City Schools Board of Education to Hold Called MeetingKINGSPORT ‚¬ The Kingsport City Schools Board of Education will hold a called meeting on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at 7:00 p.m.‚ The meeting will take place in the Tennessee Room of the KCS Administrative Support Center (400 Clinchfield Street, 3rd Floor). The purpose of the called meeting is to review and consider contracts regarding the Innovation Academy of Northeast Tennessee STEM school, consider a policy regarding the use of the internet, and review a request to reapply for an elementary school counselor grant. Hunters Crossing water outage planned for MondayKINGSPORT — Residents in the Hunter‚ Crossing subdivision in the Rock Springs community will experience water outages on Monday, Nov. 28 due to water booster station maintenance, weather permitting.
This outage is expected to take place between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Residents are reminded to turn off their water heaters to prevent damage while water service is limited or unavailable. Henry Drive traffic patternKINGSPORT — The City of Kingsport Wastewater Department is starting a contract to replace sewer lines beneath Ft. Henry Drive, with the project creating dramatic changes in the traffic pattern between Bridwell Street and Warpath Drive.
At least one westbound lane of Ft. Henry will be closed during construction, and traffic patterns will shift, beginning Monday, August 15, 2011, and running through October 8, 2011.

New Beason Well Road to be closed during business hours through WednesdayKINGSPORT — New Beason Well Road will be closed Monday through Wednesday, August 17, 2011, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The closure will extend from Sussex Drive to the intersection with East Stone Drive. The road closure will allow the installation of a water line to the new Fire Station 8 currently under construction.
