Atlanta Braves’ trophy tour making stop in Model City
The Atlanta Braves’ World Champions Trophy Tour will be making a stop in the Model City next month.
Be sure to come to the Kingsport Farmers Market from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14 to enjoy Atlanta Braves Day. Attendees can take a picture with the World Series championship trophy, enjoy ballpark-type foods, kids’ activities and $1 carousel rides.
The Atlanta Braves defeated the Houston Astros four games to two to win the 2021 World Series. It was the Braves’ fourth World Series title in franchise history, their first since 1995 and their second in Atlanta.
The World Champions Trophy Tour (presented by Truist) is making 151 stops across Braves Country this year, honoring the team’s 151st year as a franchise. The tour began in February and is continuing through the summer.
