Kingsport Theatre Adult Auditions for October show.
NIGHTFALL WITH EDGAR ALLAN POE by Eric Coble Play description from Playscripts, Inc: Edgar Allan Poe stands alone in the flickering darkness of his mind, trying desperately to convince himself -- and us -- that he's not mad. The spell he weaves brings us a highly theatrical adaptation of four tales Poe himself considered his best: "The Raven," "The Fall of the House of Usher," "The Pit and the Pendulum," and "The Tell-Tale Heart." Enter the world of Poe and check your heartbeat at the door.
CAST: 2 females, 3 males (casting is flexible as this is an ensemble piece where most actors will play multiple roles, so I may use more depending on turnout, scheduling, etc.)
NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR: This is a creepy, unsettling play that I can't wait to put together. We'll be exploring a very dark side of the human psyche, so this is not a play for the squeamish. No previous acting experience, or prepared pieces, are required.
June 18 and 19 from 6 - 8PM drop in.
Room #209 at 1200 East Center Street Kingsport, TN 37660
Auditions will be a cold read from the script. If you can't make it to the audition time posted, contact the director at thewallenway [at] gmail [dot] com.
This is a Technically interesting production. The needs for crew in technical areas will be addressed during these auditions as well. Please plan to attend.
